Frequently asked questions

How Are Records Graded?

Mint - Visually looks brand new. There are no signs of wear.

NM (Near Mint) - Visually looks new, but may show one or two very slight abnormalities.

VG++ (Very Good++) - A very nice record with all or nearly all of its original gloss but may have a couple of light surface scratches. Labels are in excellent condition.

VG+ (Very Good+) - A nice record, but a used record that has a series of light scuffs or scratches, may show light groove graying....still glossy with a lot of life left in it. Labels may show light wear.

VG (Very Good) – The jacket shows some storage wear at its edges and corners and may show some other signs of wear such as light stains and/or a ring mark from storage wear.
